Five-Star Quality on the Skilled Care Unit
Rush Oak Park Hospital's Skilled Care Unit has earned a five-star rating for overall quality.
Oak Park, IL
(December 4, 2009) —
Rush Oak Park Hospital’s Skilled Care Unit has earned a five-star rating for overall quality, according to a recent Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services nursing home rating report.
The Skilled Care Unit offers a complete personalized program for patients whose conditions have stabilized but still require 24-hour nursing attention. The unit is staffed by physicians, nurses and specialists in physical, occupational and speech therapies.
Its excellent staffing levels — particularly with regard to nursing staff and the amount of time they spend daily with each resident — contributed to the unit’s high rating for overall quality. The unit also earned a five-star rating on its health inspection, outperforming state and national averages.
